Summer Program Teacher Assistant, June 23-August 18

Early Learning Department

The Summer Program Teacher Assistant supports the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, engaging, and enriching summer experience for children ages 3-5 years old. This role lasts for eight weeks and includes assisting with daily activities, supervising children, and fostering a positive learning environment.

Key Qualifications

Experience working with young children (preferred).
Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and patience when working with preschool-aged children.
Must pass background checks and meet state licensing requirements
Core Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate activities, including arts, crafts, outdoor play, and learning experiences
  • Supervise children to ensure safety and positive interactions.
  • Help with meal/snack times, bathroom routines, and transitions throughout the day.
  • Support classroom organization and cleanliness.
  • Encourage children's social-emotional development through positive reinforcement.
  • Communicate with staff and families as needed.

Eligibility Coordinator - Ryan White HIV Program

Healthcare Services Department

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented bilingual professional for the role of Eligibility Coordinator for the Ryan White HIV Program. The role includes speaking to clients over the phone and in person to determine their eligibility for services offered. The ideal candidate has a background working in a social services/non-profit or medical setting.

Key Qualifications

Bilingual - fluency in English and Spanish required
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree (Social services related preferred)
Ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel and to conduct data entry
1-2 years in social services, nonprofit or medical setting preferred
Core Responsibilities:
  • Conduct eligibility assessments for HIV/AIDS social services program
  • Manage client appointments and program calendar
  • Maintain accurate client charts and assist with chart auditing
  • Process client enrollment and recertification paperwork
  • Connect clients with resources and support systems
  • Support billing processes and appointment reminders
  • Collaborate with program staff and team members
Job Details:
  • Job Type: Part-time (potential to go full-time)
  • Pay: $30 to 35 an hour depending on experience
  • Expected hours: 6 to 10 hours
  • Schedule: Flexible but must occur between 9 am and 5 pm
