BFC is committed to supporting youth as they strive for academic excellence and overall social and emotional wellness.
The ZONE, located at Dwight Morrow High School/Academies@Englewood provides comprehensive clinical and primary prevention services to students age 13-19 years old.
Services include, but are not limited to; individual and group counseling, tutoring, work force readiness, leadership development, health education, recreation, and primary prevention programs. Services are free and voluntary and are offered Monday through Friday 8 AM to 5 PM.
With lead gifts from the Naida Wharton Foundation, the Tedesco Family Foundation and the Keith V. Kiernan Foundation, as well as many others, young people in grades 6 to 8 are in a daily after school and summer enriching environment. They receive youth development, academic support, art, dance and music lessons, cooking with daily hot meals, and leadership training.
An organized youth program that provides teens with the opportunity to participate in volunteer programs, community service projects and projects of special interests to the students.
