Filling a Vital Role in Our Mission

The Facility Committee: Chairperson Anita Buchakjian

  • The Facility Committee oversees the properties owned and operated by BFC and makes long range plans for capital improvements and the integration of programs with available physical space.

The Finance Committee: Chairperson Frank Skuthan,Treasurer BFC Board

  • Monitor annual audit and tax filings.
  • Develop and implement an investment policy.
  • Oversee investments.
  • Approve and monitor annual budget.

Inclusion Diversity Equity Action Committee

  • We strive to eliminate disparities caused by systemic inequities and confront unconscious bias.
  • We are committed to implementing policies and practices that promote equity and justice in our workplace and community.

The Human Resources Committee: Chairperson, Shel Grossman, BFC Board Member

  • Monitor HR needs and employee benefits.
  • Review and update Employee Handbook and Job Descriptions.

The Program Committee: Chairperson, Ina Miller Silverstein, BFC Board Member

  • Review agency programs for quality.
  • Conduct assessments to identify unmet needs for possible program expansion.

The Resource Development Committee: Chairperson, Harry Martin, BFC Vice Chair

  • Oversee direct marketing, annual appeal and grant writing efforts.
  • Coordinate all efforts for philanthropic support.
  • Oversee the Annual Awards Dinner.
  • Coordinate all volunteer efforts.

The SESCIL Committee: Nancy Marks, Chair

  • Reviews programs for clients at SESCIL.
  • Helps to implement innovative and responsive strategies for Seniors.

The Technology Committee

  • Keeps BFC and SECIL facilities up to date on technology and digital infrastructure.
  • Provides cost-effective technology solutions for BFC's clients and staff.
