BFC Programs

Strengthen Families

Our programs enrich and strengthen families, the foundation of our community. To provide the best service for the next generation, we are committed to promote family well-being through prevention programs.

Family Success Center

Community based services are delivered through The Family Success Center where mentors help families learn new skills and acquire resources and tools to make positive change.  Families set and achieve goals and develop care plans with our professional Family Success Staff.

Home Instruction for Parents of Pre-school Youngsters (HIPPY)

HIPPY is an evidenced-based family support model that works directly  in the home to train parents to be their child's first teacher.  Families receive books, activity packets (a curriculum) and skills needed to prepare their children for school. Parents then spend time each day reading to their children, teaching umbers, colors, letters and other school-readiness skills, all while  strengthening the bond between parent and child.

The Mentoring Anyone? Program

The Mentoring Anyone? Program addresses senior citizens’ lives holistically by impacting the mind, the body and the spirit. Our program includes a one year agreement between a volunteer-trained mentor and a senior. Together, they outline a meeting schedule and set goals and objectives. The program also provides support and a break to primary caregivers. Mentoring Anyone? is a valuable resource that helps seniors “stay in place” while promoting independence and dignity.
